Mom and me classes—a fun way to exercise
Exercising as a mom can be incredibly difficult. Try to do a home workout and before you know it, there's a 30 pound toddler climbing on your back while you're wobbling your way through a plank. With kids having schedules almost as busy as their parents, finding time to workout between shuttling your kids around can also be challenging.
If you want your kids to have extra curricular activities and still stay fit, mom and me classes are a great way to do it.
These classes can be a range of different things of interest to both you and your child, from ballet to yoga. While you're burning calories and stretching your joints, you're also spending time with your child and helping them grow as well.
For smaller kids
If you have toddlers or even young babies, there are a lot of options ranging from stroller classes to gymnastic classes that let you learn more about your child's play style. Through these classes you can increase your bond with your child, learn what their strengths and weaknesses are, and yes, work out.
Many of these classes even teach your child valuable life skills at the same time, such as mom and me swim classes that give you a workout lifting your kid through each exercise, and teach them basic self rescue techniques from as early as 6 months.
For bigger kids
Bigger kids are capable of doing more advanced work. Ninja warrior classes, tumbling, and sports like soccer or baseball are all fun things you can participate in together. This is also a great way to keep better tabs on what's going on in your child's life as they become more independent, and also to help get them away from screens and stay active.
Mom and me classes can be a great choice for you and your child, and there are a lot of great options out there.
