How to live a life with no regrets

Regret is almost inescapable in life. We've all made a mistake at work or made a poor financial move that has left us kicking ourselves, but these types of regrets are usually fairly transient. What many of us worry about is to have regrets about our lives in a more broad sense, that perhaps we could have done more with it if we'd done something different.

This is a scary thought, but the good news is that you can do something about it. Here are a few tips on how to live a life without regrets.

No. You're not ready. Go for it.

What would you do tomorrow if you knew you could not fail? The answer to that question is a key to living life without regretting it. People have a natural fear of change, and trying something new is scary. We often tell ourselves we need to plan more before pursuing our passions, changing careers, or even simply changing jobs.

If there's something you really want to try but are holding back until you are more prepared—don't. You may discover you've wasted an opportunity by not going for it.

Strive to reach your ultimate

One of the most important tools to living a life with no regrets is to not put a cap on what you think you can achieve. It's easy to tell yourself that you're not smart enough, that you're average, or that you'll never be good enough.

If you cap yourself in such a way, you may never reach your full potential. You may never realize that you can do more with your life. Instead always strive to be your best, and never tell yourself you can't.

What you put in is what you get out

Ever had that friend who always seems to end up with the same type of boyfriend, and it never works out? Often we tend to make the same choices over and over again, while hoping for different results. Everything you do is connected, and if the results that you're getting aren't what you expected, it may be time to start looking into what you are putting in that is causing these situations.
