Dr. Courtney Campbell, to be honored with excellence award for journalism

Officials from the Global Pet Expo announced that Dr. Courtney Campbell, small animal specialty surgeon, veterinary journalist and media personality, is the 2020 recipient of Global Pet Expo’s annual Excellence in Journalism and Outstanding Contributions to the Pet Industry Award. 

Dr. Courtney A. Campbell, a board-certified veterinary surgeon is known for hosting and producing the veterinary news show, Vet Candy Watch and his podcast on Pet Life Radio, “Anything is Pawsible.”

Dr. Campbell has been an expert guest on programs such as Rachael Ray, Live with Kelly and Ryan, The Doctors, Hallmark Channel’s Home and Family, and The Real. He was also the veterinary expert on Top 30, the “Hot Vet” for the Pet Collective on YouTube, and the co-host of Nat Geo Wild’s Pet Talk for two seasons.

“It’s clear that Dr. Campbell is dedicated to using his platform to celebrate and promote the joy of having pets as part of our families,” says Steve King, CEO of American Pet Products Association, an organization that represents more than 1,200 pet product manufacturers and sponsors the Global Pet Expo, “Dr. Campbell actively engages with the public, educating them about the care of animals and responsible pet ownership.”

Global Pet Expo’s annual Excellence in Journalism and Outstanding Contributions to the Pet Industry Award recognizes influential media personalities who promote the joys and benefits of pet ownership. Whether via print, broadcast, or internet media, these distinguished honorees produce stories that highlight responsible pet ownership and all the exciting services, products, and activities that make spending time with our pets even more enjoyable. Past recipients include Victoria Stilwell, Rachael Ray, and Ellen DeGeneres.
