Study examines pet owners thoughts on Elizabethan collar use
Elizabethan collars are frequently used to prevent self-trauma in pets. This study evaluated four hundred and thirty four pet owner thoughts on their pets activities when using the collar, including sleeping, eating, drinking, exercising, as well as overall quality of life (QOL).
More than 77% of pet owners reported that the Elizabethan collar irritated their pet or impacted on their ability to drink or play.
