I would like to tell you about one of my favorite game-changing, impactful charities in the pet world! Mission Rabies is led by Worldwide Veterinary Service and Luke Gamble, who’s mission is to eradicate rabies across the world!

Now being a pet owner, we know that it is required for your pet to get vaccinated for rabies in order to receive a pet license in most areas. This is because once contracted, Rabies is almost certainly deadly, and can be passed from animals to humans through bodily fluids (zoonotic disease!). This marks rabies as a big threat to humans and the animals in our lives, and there are so many wonderful people working to end this horrible disease!

A huge way you can make an impact easily is if you shop on Amazon, through their Smile program, you can choose Mission Rabies as the charity you would like to support, and a portion of your purchases goes toward a donation to this charity!

Another way to get involved is to volunteer on a rabies mission trip! Before COVID they were very frequent and starting in June of 2021 they are looking for veterinary professionals as well as non-vets such as enthusiastic pet parents to volunteer at their vaccine clinics around the world! If we work together we can make sure this generation will be the one to eradicate rabies for good and no one else will have to know of its suffering!
