It would be difficult to find somebody more passionate about global veterinary work than Dr. Katherine Polak.When a catastrophic flood hit Bangkok, she was there in an instant. From helping establish emergency shelters for dogs to running campaigns to end some of the cruelest practices, such as the dog and cat meat trade in Asia, Dr. Polak is a superpower at engaging community veterinarians and working alongside international partners.
Caira Joseph is Unstoppable
At just 27 years old, Caira Joseph is already the Chief Operations Officer (COO) of Vets On Call Network (VOCN), a veterinary technician, and a soon-to-be mother! Even more incredible, she does it all while living with gestational diabetes.
There's something about Jaymee Gencher
Currently a Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine student doing her clinical year at Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine, Jaymee knows that in order to succeed at your goals, the first step is believing in yourself. From solo traveling to moving (to not one, but two!) different countries during vet school, she is embracing her infinite potential. Originally from Toronto, she has literally crossed borders to pursue her ultimate objective: a residency in either oncology or critical care.
