University of Georgia Launches Mobile Vet Clinic to Revolutionize Animal Care in Athens!
The University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine is introducing a new mobile veterinary clinic thanks to a $750,000 grant from the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation. This initiative, part of the shelter medicine program, will provide hands-on training for veterinary students while offering essential veterinary services to pets in Athens and surrounding areas. Inspired by similar programs at Mississippi State and Oregon State, UGA’s mobile clinic will expand surgical experience for students and increase care for shelter animals.
