Royal Veterinary College Ranked #1 in Global Rankings for Fifth Consecutive Year

The Royal Veterinary College (RVC) has once again claimed the top spot in the QS World University Subject Rankings for Veterinary Science, marking an incredible fifth year in a row at the pinnacle of global veterinary education.

Released on March 12, the 2025 rankings reveal that the Hertfordshire-based institution continues to shine with an impressive overall score of 97.8, achieving a perfect 100 for academic reputation and an impressive 91.7 for employer reputation. This marks the sixth time RVC has topped the rankings, solidifying its reputation as a global leader in veterinary education.

Stuart Reid, the principal of the RVC, expressed pride in the achievement, stating, “This outcome reflects the dedication of our staff and students. We remain committed to excellence in teaching, learning, and research, and we are privileged to once again be recognized at the top of our field.”

While RVC maintained its position as the top veterinary school, the top three institutions in the rankings remain unchanged from 2024, with University of California, Davis and Cornell University taking second and third place, respectively.

With over 5,200 institutions assessed across 50+ subject areas, this year’s QS rankings continue to highlight the global competition and excellence in veterinary education, with RVC leading the way.
