CityVet Acquires The Animal Hospital at Steiner Ranch

CityVet, a network of 39 veterinarian-owned practices, proudly announces the acquisition of Austin, TX-based The Animal Hospital at Steiner Ranch. The clinic is located at 5145 Ranch Road 620 North, Suite F140, Austin, TX, 78732.

For over 10 years Dr. Tamera Cole has led The Animal Hospital at Steiner Ranch, focusing on primary care for pets. “I am incredibly thankful for my patients and all the wonderful client relationships we’ve cultivated over the years. We are thrilled to join the CityVet network and transition our patients and team into the excellent care of the CityVet team who believes in putting people at the center of everything they do.”

Dr. Cole adds, "I will be transitioning out to seek further study and certification in Animal Behavior, and Dr. Heidi Moore, a long-time local resident, will assume ownership and leadership responsibilities at the clinic. I've had the pleasure of getting to know Dr. Moore and I have complete confidence in her capacity to uphold the clinic's high standards, to which our clients and team have grown accustomed."

On the acquisition, David Boguslawski, CityVet CEO says, “Dr. Cole and her team have a well-established clinic in Austin with a strong reputation as a trusted veterinarian in the community. Our partnership with Dr. Moore will bring added value and expanded services to their clients and staff with enhanced tools and support. We are excited about contributing to the continued legacy established by Dr. Cole and her team in Austin.”

As the clinic transitions under Dr Cole’s and Dr Moore’s leadership, it will be adding extended hours during the week and weekends. Dr. Moore will also be offering surgeries and expanded dental service offerings to patients in need.

Dr. Moore completed her veterinary education at St. Georges University School of Veterinary Medicine in Grenada, West Indies, with her final year spent at LSU. She currently serves as the area veterinarian at the Austin Zoo, where she tends to a diverse array of animals. Additionally, Dr. Moore has experience in mixed animal medicine; she has also practiced small animal medicine at Lakeway Vet Clinic for approximately 10 years, serving as the medical director for two of those years. Her veterinary interests encompass surgery, dentistry, emergency care, internal medicine, preventive medicine, and mixed and exotic animal medicine.

CityVet views their role as a partnership with each and every client based on trust and aimed at providing them with information, products, and exceptional service. The growing clinic network offers complete pet care including progressive veterinary care, boarding, bathing and grooming services, and healthy pet foods and supplies.

The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
