Trupanion Launches First Annual Veterinary Appreciation Day™ Awards

-In recognition of Veterinary Appreciation Day™ and all the veterinary community does to support our beloved pets, Trupanion (Nasdaq: TRUP), the leading provider of medical insurance for cats and dogs announced its first annual Veterinary Appreciation Day Awards.

“To honor and celebrate the veterinary community’s impact on the lives of pets and their families, we’re thrilled to kick off Trupanion’s first Veterinary Appreciation Day Awards”

In 2015, Trupanion established June 18 as Veterinary Appreciation Day to recognize and celebrate the veterinary community for their profound impact on the lives of pets and their families.

Starting May 7, pet parents and veterinary professionals alike are invited to nominate an extraordinary hospital team member they know or work with. It takes many roles to make a veterinary hospital run smoothly, and with that in mind, all team members from any hospital are eligible for nomination. More details about the awards, including information on how to nominate and vote can be found here https://vetappreciationday.trupanion.com/. Two awards, Veterinarian of the Year and Veterinary Professional of the Year, serve to acknowledge and showcase the hard work and dedication of the veterinary community, spread awareness about the many roles that make up the profession, and highlight the impact that veterinary teams have on pets and their communities.

Be sure to submit your nomination before May 15 to ensure your nominee is considered for this international recognition. Voting will take place on May 17 through May 24 and the winners of Veterinarian of the Year and Veterinary Professional of the Year will be announced on Veterinary Appreciation Day, June 18, 2024.

“To honor and celebrate the veterinary community’s impact on the lives of pets and their families, we’re thrilled to kick off Trupanion’s first Veterinary Appreciation Day Awards,” says Margi Tooth, President of Trupanion. “To coincide with Veterinary Appreciation Day, we want to recognize everyone in the veterinary community making a profound difference. By honoring their hard work and compassion, we can ensure that their unwavering commitment is both appreciated and celebrated.”

Dr. Steve Weinrauch, BVMS, MRCVS, Trupanion’s Chief Veterinary/Product Officer, stated, “We strive to celebrate the veterinary community every day, but on Veterinary Appreciation Day, we want to inspire a moment of recognition for a group of people who consistently put everyone ahead of themselves.”
