Animal Dermatology Group Expands National Presence with Acquisition of Four Specialty Dermatology Clinics

New Acquisitions in Maryland, Tennessee, Florida, and California Strengthen ADG’s Mission to Provide Advanced Skin Care for Pets

Animal Dermatology Group, Inc. (ADG), a leading provider of veterinary dermatology services, has expanded its national footprint with the acquisition of four specialty practices: Long Green Animal Dermatology in Maryland, Nashville Veterinary Dermatology in Tennessee, Animal Dermatology & Allergy in Florida, and Dermatology & Allergy Clinic for Animals in California. This strategic growth supports ADG’s mission to offer advanced dermatological care to more pets across the country.

A Commitment to Comprehensive Skin and Allergy Care

ADG’s recent acquisitions highlight the group’s dedication to meeting the rising demand for specialized veterinary dermatology services. Each of these clinics brings unique expertise in managing challenging skin, ear, and allergy conditions in pets, led by board-certified dermatologists who are leaders in their field.

  • Long Green Animal Dermatology (LGAD): Founded in 2007 in Baldwin, Maryland, LGAD specializes in diagnosing and managing complex skin diseases in companion animals. Led by Dr. Joseph A. Bernstein and Dr. Deirdre F. Vaughan, both board-certified dermatologists, LGAD is known for its advanced diagnostics and therapeutic techniques. “Becoming part of the ADG team allows us to expand our services and continue providing top-tier dermatology care for pets,” said Drs. Bernstein and Vaughan.

  • Nashville Veterinary Dermatology (NVD): Established in 2010 by Dr. Sarah ONeill, NVD serves middle Tennessee, focusing on acute and chronic dermatological conditions. With a team of board-certified dermatologists, including Drs. Mandy Ackerman and Lindsay McKay, NVD is committed to improving patients’ quality of life. Dr. ONeill noted, “Partnering with ADG enhances our ability to deliver outstanding care and supports our clinic’s growth.”

  • Animal Dermatology & Allergy (ADA): Located in Estero, Florida, ADA was founded in 2000 by Dr. Glen Burkett, who, along with his wife, Dr. Leigh Burkett, provides comprehensive dermatology and allergy services. The Burketts emphasized the value of joining ADG, stating, “This partnership enables us to stay current with cutting-edge technology and innovative techniques, offering optimal outcomes for our patients.”

  • Dermatology & Allergy Clinic for Animals (DACA): Serving Santa Barbara and Ventura, California, DACA was founded in 2011 by Dr. Jean Greek, who brings over 30 years of dermatology expertise. Dr. Greek expressed excitement about joining ADG’s collaborative network, saying, “ADG’s focus on advancing veterinary dermatology aligns with my commitment to providing individual care and attention to each client.”

ADG’s Expanding National Network

With the addition of these four clinics, ADG now operates in 17 U.S. states, with a team of over 90 doctors focused on delivering specialized dermatology care. “Our growth allows us to offer pet owners the highest level of dermatology specialty care,” said Steven Mrha, CEO of ADG. Combining acquisitions with organic expansion, ADG continues to build a collaborative network of veterinary specialists dedicated to elevating dermatology services for pets nationwide.
