Dr. Victoria Koehler is all about the next challenge

Furry Friends Adoption, Clinic & Ranch is proud to announce a new Director of Shelter Medicine, Victoria Koehler DVM. Dr. Koehler has a stellar background and comes to Furry Friends from the ASPCA in Miami. Dr. Koehler has worked in emergency medicine, community medicine/HVHQSN and private practice

“We are thrilled to welcome somebody of Dr. Koehler’s caliber into the Furry Friends team. She will elevate the level of medicine and services we provide,” said Executive Director Jason Gluck. “It’s rare to find a vet that has both private practice experience and has extensive shelter experience. We are so glad the animals we rescue will now have access to such progressive care.”

Dr. Koehler helped open the ASPCA’s first brick and mortar community veterinary center in Miami and led a staff of 10. She graduated from Tufts University with a BS in Science and attended Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine. Her first day at Furry Friends was March 21st.

Furry Friends rescues well over 1,000 animals per year in Palm Beach and Martin Counties and also offers a vet clinic open to the public on site at their Jupiter location.

Dr. Koehler says, “Joining the Furry Friends team is an excellent opportunity to continue helping as many animals as possible and to increase access to veterinary care, something that I am passionate about.”
