What Dr. Anthony Gonzalez is loving now

Puerto Rican native, Dr. Anthony Gonzalez, grew up in Long Island with the dream of becoming a veterinarian. He knew his dream would face many challenges, including overwhelming student debt, but he also knew he had what it takes to get into veterinary medicine.

In 2005, he realized his dream and took his first step toward veterinary medicine with an associates degree in Applied Sciences. He has since accrued a number of impressive certifications in the industry, becoming a full-fledged veterinarian specializing in critical care.

Today, he’s an upbeat veterinarian who starts each day knowing that he is doing what he loves. Although dogs are his passion, Dr. Anthony knows exactly what he would do if he couldn’t work with animals anymore. He enjoys music and dancing as much as he likes animals, and would likely become a backup dancer instead.

There’s always a song playing in Dr. Anthony mind as he’s working through the day, and he has worked hard during the pandemic. With so many people getting pandemic puppies, it’s all Dr. Anthony and his team can do to keep up with demand.

Fortunately, Dr. Anthony is self-driven, and has the mental strength to keep up no matter what is thrown at him. He believes that being self-driven and self-motivated are two of his greatest strengths, and a look at his impressive resume proves that these things have served him well.

At home, Dr. Anthony relaxes in a variety of ways. One of his favorites is to garden. He has a large variety of plants growing in his home, many of them carnivorous. He has a green thumb, and loves seeing what new things he can get to grow.

If Dr. Anthony could recommend one thing for future vet students, and those well advanced in their career, it’s this. Keep hold of your compassion, ability to self-sacrifice, and empathy for others. This isn’t always easy to do in the vet industry. The amount of empathy needed can be overwhelming at times.

The reason why he makes this recommendation is simple. If more people looked at other people’s needs, and tried to remove their own wants and desires from the situation, the world would be a much better place.

In today’s world where everyone seems to be against each other over the tiniest details, this is good advice.

During the pandemic, Dr. Anthony is taking one day at a time. He hardly had any free time at all in the thick of things, but now he is taking time to relax and pursue his other interests. He recently got a French Bulldog puppy, and is enjoying parenting his pup, as well as relaxing in other ways such as his gardening and nice long naps.

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Dr. Anthony is a great veterinarian, and has a sparkling future as a critical care specialist. He cares deeply about animals, and continues to pursue new knowledge in order to help the animals he is so passionate about get the help and care they need each and every day.
