Three most common disorders in UK dogs

This study used anonymized veterinary clinical data from a popular electronic record software to examine frequency of dog disorders in the UK during 2016 from over 905,000 dogs in eight hundred and eighty-six veterinary clinics. Approximately 2.5% of those dogs were randomly chosen and refined to precise-level and grouped-level precision, to reveal the most common disorders were periodontal disease, otitis externa and obesity as well as dental disorder, skin disorder and enteropathy, respectively. These findings can assist veterinarians in advocating for preventative care in patients, especially under certain demographic risk factors and associations with common disorders in UK dogs.
