With shampoo, one size does not fit all

According to hair stylist, Ana Goni, shampoos can make a big difference in having a good hair day and a bad one. Make sure to use these tips when choosing your shampoo.

  1. Dry hair: avoid shampoos that contain sodium or chorine and make sure that they are paraben-free. If these ingredients are in the shampoo, your hair will likely dry out.

  2. Fine hair: pick a shampoo that has volumizers. This can make your hair look healthy and full.

  3. Oily hair: your best bet is to use a shampoo that contains peppermint - it helps with oily hair. Make sure to focus your shampooing on your scalp for best performance.

  4. Color: always use a sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner to avoid damage and preserve color.

Ana also says to avoid combination shampoo and conditioner, as the chemicals in each counteract each other and the product will probably fail to either clear or condition.

Thanks, Ana!
